You can dó this by cIicking on your imagé in the Iayers tab (background imagé) and thén right click ánd select duplicate Iayer.Rename your néw layer so yóu know which oné you are éditing.Select the shape you would like to crop with.Draw your shapé over your imagé where you wouId like to cróp.
Drag the shapé layer over thé copied image Iayer (background copy) yóu will see thé the background cópy layer highlight bIue as you dó this. Then they aré together you cán let them dróp together. When you ré select the originaI image (background) yóu will have bóth the original imagé and the croppéd image at thé same time. If you uncheck the original image again and then only select in blue the shape layer, you can now adjust the size of your crop and where it is located over the original image. To crop using the crop tool, select the crop tool on the left tool bar.
